Ajman Club lost 0-1 to Al-Wahda

Ajman lost to Al-Wahda with a goal to nil in the match held at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium on Saturday, concluding the seventh round of the Adnoc Professional League. With this win, Al-Wahda now has 12 points, rising to the fifth position in the standings, while Ajman remains at the bottom with 3 points after suffering its fourth loss this season.

In the first half, both teams struggled to get into the game, with cautious play dominating. Al-Wahda gradually took control, scoring in the 26th minute through a header by Facundo Daniel, assisted by Christian Gyanca. Facundo has now scored five goals with his head in the league, out of seven total goals. Gyanca contributed to 9 goals and provided 9 assists in 30 matches in the Professional League.

After the goal, Al-Wahda maintained control, with a possession rate exceeding 58% compared to Ajman's 41% by the end of the first half. Despite Al-Wahda's attempts to extend its lead, Ajman's defensive discipline prevented further goals.

In the second half, Al-Wahda maintained dominance, but the intensity decreased. Ajman's defensive efforts and occasional offensive attempts limited clear scoring opportunities. In the 78th minute, Ajman was awarded a penalty after a VAR review, but Al-Wahda's goalkeeper Rashid Ali saved it. Notably, Rashid Ali has successfully saved the last two penalties he faced in the league, one against Sharjah in January 2020 and the other against Ajman in this match. The game concluded with Khaled Batti of Al-Wahda receiving a red card in the 90+2 minute, but Al-Wahda held on to its lead until the final whistle.
